About

The Woodall House

History

Built in 1910

This historic home was built in 1910 by Dr. John M. McKenzie, a well known physician from Thomaston.  In 1985, the Woodalls purchased the property from the family of Dr. McKenzie with plans to convert it into a thriving Bed and Breakfast.

The Woodalls spent the next two years restoring and renovating the property in order to welcome overnight guests and to provide dinner parties by reservation.  They opened for business in April of 1987 and operated the business until 2020.

The interior gingerbread trim is original in this restored Victorian home commissioned by Dr. McKenzie at the turn of the century.  All the rooms have private baths with individual air conditioning, WIFI and Roku TV.

This beautiful home is located one and a half blocks from the beautiful neo-classical revival style courthouse (1908), centered in the easy walking entertainment district of downtown Thomaston.
